SIGH….VINI JR
It’s a very complex thing when a star that shone brilliantly before and gave light to everyone’s eyes, now begins to cast a shadow of darkness over those very same eyes of the people. Or maybe it’s what the people want to see? Vinicius, i believe, is in that very strange place where having won it all again and again, is still trying to convince himself that they still want him here and that he needs to enjoy his football and be happy about it. But, he didn’t win it all without some scars along the road…maybe he’s had enough and can’t take anymore of the questions from within and outside? or he’s still searching for a reason to continue and each move he makes on the pitch that doesn’t end well, seems to be his undoing in the eyes of everyone. Meanwhile, he could just simply be misunderstood.
WHAT SEEST THOU?
Often times, it’s not what you see on the pitch or in practice that shows you who a player is or where a player is at. Football has been a psychological thing for Vini, for him to reach the height he’s at now, he once had to hire a mental coach to get him over the edge. That was around the time, our club dropped a 160 MIL ton bombshell on a hazardous transfer move, right in front of his face. Our club has a habit of doing that to players. Amidst all he was going through in Spain. Then they come and do it again with the biggest star on the planet since CR7, Messi and Neymar….MBAPPE!. Players who occupy the same space as him on the pitch. Not that our club shouldn’t have gotten Mbappe/Hazard, but that our club has a ruthless way of doing it and it can confuse the players and make it look like they’ve wanted you out of here since day one.
Everyone’s kicking and screaming about Vini’s form and brain-set, meanwhile, Vini may be looking at our club’s hierarchy and asking them one question: Do you still Love Me?
CARRERAS
Our left back side seems to be shored up. Time will tell with carreras, theres not much to write about him. But i’m optimistic that a signing like him may surprise many.
