Trent: Here we go!
So the report of the day – probably expected by fans who followed transfer reports – Romano’s here we go for TAA signing with Real Madrid.
These report follow the player and Liverpool official announcement that he, after 20 years at the club, is indeed leaving at the end of the season.
Now, the question is if Real Madrid will be able to sort things out with Liverpool, so the player can join earlier and play in CWC, but the club are confident.
Romano remembered that he said more than a year ago that Real Madrid was in the race to sign the player.
Carlo exit process: sorted
Another report is that Real Madrid and Ancelotti reached an agreement regarding the coach’s departure. It might be official as soon as after El Clásico game.
A new report from LA Ser stated the club lost confidence on Ancelotti only after the 2nd leg vs Arsenal.
Everything points in the direction that Ancelotti will coach Brazil NT from June until 2026 World Cup.
Alonso comments
Quotes from Xabi Alonso, suggesting different view of football that of Ancelotti:
“As a coach, you need to adapt to the skillset your players have, while also keeping your own ideas and principles.
In the Spanish NT for example, we couldn’t play counter-attacking football, we had guys like Iniesta, Silva and Villa upfront, all great players, but if they’re 50 meters away from the box, they’re not very dangerous. So the plan should be to get them as close to the box as possible. Positional play, creating advantages, finding ways inside, finding spaces.
At Real Madrid however, with players like Bale, Cristiano, Benzema, Di Maria, even at 50 meters away from the box, they’re very dangerous, because there are spaces they can take advantage of.
I’m more of a positional guy, I want a high press and recovering the ball immediately, but above all else, my priority is control. The more my team controls the game, the more comfortable I am.”
I hope he can definitely change our mindset and, differently from the past four seasons under Ancelotti, set us to control and dominate opponents.
