According to The Athletic.

Real Madrid are looking at reinforcements for the left-back position, but Miguel Gutierrez is not a name that is being considered, according to a report from The Athletic.

Real Madrid have been linked with Benfica full-back Alvaro Carreras and Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez as of late, and Miguel’s name has not come up in conversations to reinforce the position since he left the club for Girona in the summer of 2022.

Real Madrid have a very cheap buy-back clause in place for Miguel, and it would work out well for the club if they do not want to spend a lot of money for a good left-back.

Real Madrid need to reinforce that position either way, though. Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy have not been enough this season, with the latter facing many injuries and continuity problems.

Garcia does not have Carlo Ancelotti’s faith, and he, too, has been inconsistent. It is the best time to reinforce the position which may easily be Real Madrid’s weakest right now.
