According to MARCA.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Espanyol goalkeeper Joan García, who has emerged as one of LaLiga’s standout performers this season. According to MARCA, García’s breakout campaign has caught the attention of the Spanish giants, especially as backup keeper Andriy Lunin could be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabéu.

García, 23, has impressed with his reflexes, consistency, and composure under pressure, solidifying his reputation as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Spain. With a relatively modest €25 million release clause in his contract, the transfer would be financially accessible for Madrid. Premier League sides such as Aston Villa and Arsenal are also reportedly monitoring his situation closely.

While Real Madrid’s goalkeeper position remains stable with Thibaut Courtois set to return, the Belgian veteran is approaching the later stages of his career. García could serve as both immediate competition and a long-term successor, adding depth and security to the squad.

Although reinforcing the goalkeeping department may not be an urgent priority for Los Blancos this summer, García’s current form and long-term potential make him a compelling target for the club’s project.
