According to AS.

Real Madrid have decided to make Alvaro Carreras their main target for the left-back spot and a deal for the young left-back ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup is likely, according to a report from AS. Manchester United will trigger their €18 million buyback option and then sell him to Real Madrid for a fee around €35 million, per that same report.

Los Blancos are taking the Club World Cup very seriously and that’s why they’re working hard to secure both Huijsen and Carreras before the tournament kicks off. Real Madrid are also negotiating with Liverpool the possibility of registering Alexander-Arnold in the Club World Cup, although the British club appear to be somewhat reluctant to release the right-back before his contract expires on July 1st.

Either way, Real Madrid will be making significant upgrades to their defensive line, increasing their depth and bringing players who could crack Xabi Alonso’s starting XI during the 2025-26 season.
