Player Ratings: Levante 1 – 4 Real Madrid

Real Madrid continued their strong start to the season with a convincing 4-1 win away at Levante. Here’s how the players fared:

Thibaut Courtois: 7.
Once again, barely called into action—which is always a good sign. Made one save and couldn’t do much about the goal conceded.

Raúl Asencio: 7.
Another stellar defensive performance, this time operating as a pseudo right-back / center-back hybrid. Solid throughout, but could’ve been more alert in putting a body on Etta Eyong for Levante’s lone goal.

Dean Huijsen: 7.
Foot-perfect at the back with several important blocks. Still needs to be more careful with some of his riskier vertical passing.

Álvaro Carreras: 8.
Played at center-back as if it were his natural position. His counter-pressing and step-ups were excellent.

Fran García: 7.5.
In his first start of the season, provided consistent overlaps and dangerous balls into the box.

Dani Ceballos: 8.
Brought great energy, sharp distribution, and intelligent pressing to the midfield.

Arda Güler: 8.5.
Had an assist and could’ve had another. Showed beautiful dribbling in tight spaces and was a constant creative outlet.

Fede Valverde: 8.
His best performance of the season so far. Solid on the ball, precise in distribution, and active in midfield transitions.

Vinícius Jr.: 9.5.
Vintage Vinícius. Simply unstoppable. Scored a breathtaking goal, added an assist, and registered three key passes. A performance of the highest order.

Franco Mastantuono: 8.5.
Electric from the start. Finally got his first Real Madrid goal, fittingly on September 23rd—the same day Alfredo Di Stéfano scored his first for the club.

Kylian Mbappé: 9.
A quiet first half, but exploded in the second. Won and converted a penalty with a cheeky Panenka, before adding Madrid’s fourth goal to seal the victory.

Substitutes:

Jude Bellingham: 8.
Instantly brought composure and control, helping Madrid close out the game.

Aurélien Tchouaméni: 7.5.
Not tested defensively, but helped circulate possession effectively.

Rodrygo Goes, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga: N/A.
Came on for the final nine minutes to help see the match out.
