Real Madrid have announced the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be available to play in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup after Los Blancos reached an agreement with Liverpool so that the player could join Real Madrid a month ahead the end of his contract on July 1st.
Real Madrid C.F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement by which Trent Alexander-Arnold will be linked to our club for the next six seasons, from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2031.
The 26-year-old English international joins our team after winning nine titles with Liverpool: 1 Champions League, 1 Club World Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 2 Premier Leagues, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, and 1 Community Shield.
Alexander-Arnold, who has spent his entire career as a footballer at Liverpool, has been a full international with England since 2018, with whom he has played in two World Cups (2018 and 2022) and one European Championship (2024).
Individually, he has been included once in the FIFA FIFPro World 11 (2020), twice in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season (2018/19 and 2021/22), and three times in the Premier League Team of the Year (2018/19, 2019/20, and 2021/22). He was also named Premier League Young Player of the Season for 2019/20.
Alexander-Arnold will play in the Club World Cup with Real Madrid, which will take place in the United States starting June 14.
