The defender has recovered from the injury he picked up in the return leg against Atletico de Madrid.
Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy rejoined the squad in training this Tuesday and appears ready to make his return from the injury he suffered in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16 against Atletico de Madrid.
Mendy has been out for six weeks, so his presence in the starting lineup when Real Madrid take on Barcelona in the Copa del Rey Final next Saturday seems unlikely, given that he will be rusty and needing to improve his form and conditioning for such an intense and physical game.
Kylian Mbappe also trained with the group after missing Sunday’s home match against Athletic Bilbao with a sprained ankle. Mbappe seems on track to start in the Copa del Rey Final and maybe even tomorrow, when Real Madrid will visit Getafe in a crucial LaLiga game which could very well decide the outcome of the 2024-25 domestic season.
