Manchester City interested in Rodrygo -report

Manchester City are weighing a potential move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. Pep Guardiola’s side have been reshaping their attacking lineup this summer, parting ways with Jack Grealish and preparing for the departures of Savinho and James McAtee. In that context, City could turn their attention to Rodrygo, with Madrid reportedly willing to accept his exit for a fee of around €100 million.

Rodrygo’s future has been the subject of speculation throughout the summer. Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Tottenham Hotspur were all linked to the 23-year-old Brazilian, but ultimately refrained from making formal bids. According club sources, there is still mutual interest between Rodrygo and Real Madrid in finding a separation, though no deal has yet materialized.

The winger, who joined Madrid from Santos in 2019, has been a key figure in recent seasons, contributing in Champions League and La Liga campaigns. However, he struggled with his consistency and production ever since he became a starter during the 2023-24 season. Whether City are prepared to match Madrid’s valuation could determine if this transfer saga gathers pace ahead of the deadline.
