Albacete defender Lorenzo Aguado said that his team’s match against Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey is a ‘special game’ for the Spanish defender.
Aguado, who left Real Madrid to join Albacete in the summer, had been at the club since he was a kid, so it would be a big occasion to face his old club once again.
He said: “It is a very special game for me. Real Madrid gave me everything. I joined when I was seven or eight, and stayed there for 15 years. It is a beautiful game. I am very happy. It is crazy.”
Aguado was one of Castilla’s seniormost players, and racked up a high number of minutes in his final season with the club.
Aguado also made three appearances for the first team during the 2024-25 season — two in La Liga and one in Copa Del Rey — and will be looking forward to playing against some of his former teammates soon.
