According to MARCA.
Dean Huijsen appears to be nearing a move to Real Madrid as he has made the Spanish club his priority, according to a report from MARCA. With just two games left in the campaign, Huijsen has solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young defenders—drawing interest from other big clubs like Chelsea.
Despite lucrative offers from these other teams, Huijsen has expressed a preference for joining Madrid, per that same report. He would be willing to forgo higher wages for long-term stability and the prestige of becoming a Real Madrid player.
What sets this transfer apart is a favorable clause in his contract with Bournemouth: Huijsen’s €58 million release fee can be paid in three installments—making the deal more accessible for Madrid compared to past negotiations like that of Leny Yoro a year ago.
Xabi Alonso wants some more depth for his defensive line and Huijsen fits the bill, so it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid can secure the deal.
