Chema Andres reveals his childhood idol

Stuttgart midfielder and former Real Madrid Castilla player Chema Andres spoke about his childhood idol in a recent interview with Onda Cero.

He was asked about his footballing idol when he was a child, as well as his plans for the future, among other things.

To the first question, he answered: “My childhood idol was Xabi Alonso.”

The man Chema played under in his youth academy days used to be the person he looked up to the most, and his position on the field would make it justified.

He also revealed his plans about the future, talking about how Real Madrid are still in the back of his mind.

He said: “Real Madrid is the dream of every player, I hope to return someday.”

He also talked about making his debut at the Santiago Bernabeu last season, citing how special it was to be able to replace Luka Modric in his last match at home.

He said: “I came onto the pitch for Luka Modrić in his last game at the Bernabéu. I thank Ancelotti for that moment. My grandfather has that photo.”

Chema has been impressing everyone at Stuttgart and is rumoured to return to the club at some point in the future.
