
Recently on the Managing Madrid Podcast, on the monthly live Zoom call for La Liga Tier Members, Kiyan Sobhani, Sam Sharpe, and Mehedi Hassan were discussing Castilla’s season, and in particular, how good Gonzalo Garcia is.
Real Madrid are heavily linked with Ante Budimir, who is a Joselu-type veteran striker who is good in the air.
But a question was raise: Could Gonzalo Garcia take that role? While fully admitting that Garcia is not as good as Budimir in the air, he could help provide minutes as a target man and Real Madrid should be invested in developing him.
