The legal case involving a sex video filmed and distributed by former Real Madrid youth players has taken another turn, as the legal defense team representing one of the underage victims is now formally requesting a four-year prison sentence for footballer Raúl Asencio. The case stems from an incident in 2023, when three Real Madrid youth team members recorded a sexual encounter at a beach club in Gran Canaria without the consent of the individuals involved — one of whom was a minor.

According to a report from COPE, Asencio is accused of having shared the video despite not being present at the scene of the recording. The prosecution claims he received the explicit content, knew it had been filmed without permission, was aware one of the girls was underage, and that both victims had requested the video be deleted. Nonetheless, he is alleged to have shown it to a third party. As a result, he is facing charges of revealing secrets and child pornography.

The prosecution is requesting:

  • Four years in prison for Asencio
  • A 20-month fine amounting to €10 per day
  • €58,000 in total compensation for the underage victim

The financial compensation request breaks down as follows:

  • €27,000 for temporary injuries
  • €21,000 for psychological trauma and post-traumatic stress
  • €10,000 for moral damages

COPE also reports that the other woman who appears in the video — who is of legal age — plans to file a similar complaint.
