Wednesday Edition of the Daily Merengue
The Daily Merengue is a place where you can feel free to d all things football. Do not be alarmed by the overt RMCF bias. It’s in the name! Shoutout to the mods who do a fantastic job, Valyrian Steel, Kung_Fu_Zizou, Juninho, NeRObutBlanco and yours truly, Felipejack.
Inter it is!
Honestly, what a game!
This has been one of the most exciting KO stages ties I’ve ever watched.
Inter deserve this after they almost let this win slip away, thankfully, they fought back and stayed compact as much as they could.
Inzaghi deserves this, proper coach. ⚫️

I agree with above, regarding Inzaghi. It’s his second UCL final. Well deserved. There were some amazing performances, including Sommer, who was the MOTM.
Can we win El Clasico?
After the game, Pedri said “We feel destroyed”.
Hopefully, we can take advantage on Sunday that Barcelona is really tired, emotionally and physically. We have our injury problems in backline, but we have a small advantage that we haven’t played an exhaustive 120 minutes knockout game. Most importantly, we need to do our parts and play some football instead of watching the opponent play for 45 mins.
When Ancelotti departure will be announced?
Yesterday, Marca reported that Real Madrid would announce Ancelotti’s departure after El Clasico, regardless of the result. This makes sense considering Brazil’s deal with Ancelotti*, as Brazil must announce the squad on May 18th for the upcoming FIFA break in June (It is unclear if Ancelotti would change his mind about the deal giving that Ednaldo Rodrigues might again be removed from CBF’s President position). However, a different source states that nothing will be announced on Sunday and normal life will continue at the club.
Two sources say that Alonso will coach the team during CWC.
