They Chose Fran over Miguel
The option of Miguel Gutiérrez has not been seriously considered by Real Madrid since his exit. @MarioCortegana @GuillermoRai_ pic.twitter.com/cfzITXZlmE

Ancelotti was never impressed with Miguel Gutierrez. Miguel seemed impressive enough under Zidane and even with few appearances with Ancelotti who seemed almost offended that Miguel was not a defensive
What About Mendy and Fran?
NEW: Real Madrid are KEEN on David Alaba’s DEPARTURE. @MarioCortegana @GuillermoRai_ pic.twitter.com/hrymys6eUF

Alaba has hardly played since his first season at the club. I’m a fan of his game with defensive issues and all. His calmness and range of passing is always missed when we have the ball. All that said, the club has to payout his contract.
Woe is Me
Real Madrid’s coaching staff first reaction when asked by The Athletic about the injuries of Rüdiger, Alaba, and Mendy:
“We are without defenders, as always.” @MarioCortegana @GuillermoRai_ pic.twitter.com/OQUOjTT0W4

Poor old Real Madrid. All their defenders are always injured. Such a shame.. If only they had a world class academy that produces players they sell and then consider buying back the same player. At some point it starts to look silly. These are not entirely unpredictable events.
Nah!
JUST IN: Sources close to Jonathan Tah say that if Xabi Alonso becomes Real Madrid’s manager, he could JOIN him. @MarioCortegana @GuillermoRai_ pic.twitter.com/Upl0SMLeg6

The only rationale for Tah is that Xabi wants him for comfort.
Theo On the way back
NEW: Theo Hernández TICKS many of the boxes for Real Madrid & he’s ON the list.
• He’s experienced and in his prime
• His price would be favorable as his contract expires in 2026
• He would easily adapt
• He’d be open to return@diarioas pic.twitter.com/Oy7Ah9X3gf— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 3, 2025
