Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé will miss Saturday’s home match against Levante with the same knee injury that has been bothering him over the last few weeks. Mbappé was forced to come off the bench during the Spanish Supercup Final against Barcelona and now it looks like he will miss some time trying to make sure that he recovers from this issue in a proper way.
Mbappé has been the undisputed leader of Real Madrid’s offense, so his absence will definitely hurt the team as Los Blancos try to regroup and bounce back from their catastrophic loss to Albacete in the Copa del Rey’s Round of 16.
Although it seems clear that Real Madrid should have what it takes to beat Levante at home even without the French star, nothing is certain about this team any more, so it will be interesting to see if they play with effort and intensity.
