Player Ratings: Elche 2 – 2 Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois: 8
Kept Real Madrid alive with several big saves. You can argue he should’ve done better on Álvaro’s goal, but that feels harsh given how many clear chances he prevented.

Raúl Asencio: 7.5
Disrupted multiple Elche transitions and read the game well. Could’ve closed down Álvaro more aggressively on the hosts’ second goal.

Dean Huijsen: 7.5
Scored Madrid’s late equalizer and dominated his box with nine clearances.

Álvaro Carreras: 5
Loose in possession and guilty of a costly giveaway that led directly to Rafa Mir’s big chance.

Trent Alexander-Arnold: 8
A very solid return to the XI. Delivered a perfect ball to Mbappé that should’ve been an assist. Led all players in touches and interceptions — a good two-way performance overall but did let Aleix Febas behind him on Elche’s first goal.

Arda Güler: 7.5
Comfortable under pressure and constantly dropped deep to help stabilize the build-up. Played a brilliant long pass to Mbappé that deserved an assist. Defensive intensity dipped after halftime.

Dani Ceballos: 4
Overrun in midfield and unable to establish control. Playing as a lone anchor didn’t suit him, and Elche exploited that.

Fran García: 5
Worked hard but offered little thrust as a makeshift left winger. Never truly threatened.

Jude Bellingham: 7.5
Started slow but grew into the game and became decisive in the second half, eventually scoring Madrid’s equalizer.

Kylian Mbappé: 7.5
Should’ve buried at least one of his chances — probably two. Still created Bellingham’s goal and produced five key passes and six successful dribbles. A dynamic but wasteful display.

Rodrygo Goes: 4.5
Out of form and out of rhythm. Couldn’t impose himself on the game and contributed very little in attack.

Substitutes

Fede Valverde: 6.5
Added some energy, but Alonsos’ setup often leaves him playing behind the creative hubs, limiting his influence.

Gonzalo García: 7.5
Injected life into the attack. Nearly scored and consistently created danger inside the box. Even without a goal, he changed the dynamic.

Brahim Díaz: 5
Struggled to operate in a congested right channel and couldn’t break lines.

Eduardo Camavinga: 6.5
Played in midfield and later at left-back. Produced a beautiful ball over the top for Mbappé but also made a dangerous late turnover.

Vinícius Júnior: 4.5
Off the pace. Lost almost every duel and couldn’t influence the game.
