Carvajal will be out around three months with this injury, which is a devastating blow as he had just recovered from a previous injury and appeared ready to regain his form and status within the team. In his absence, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fede Valverde will be the team’s two right-backs, with the British defender ready to make his return from a muscle injury.
Real Madrid’s coaching staff will need to take a cautious approach with Carvajal’s recovery, as the defender is a veteran player who has had struggles with his knees in recent years.
